Now more than ever every one a little “pick me up” to help calm the soul. What better way then with flowers. some times in the uncertainty there is a good felling when you look at nature, weather it is flowers, trees or plants. The outside always makes us feel better and when you bring that inside it does as well. The scent of fresh cut flowers like lilys for example, can freshen up your whole house and are very welcoming when you walk in the room. The colors and fragrance are pleasing to the soul and are a natural “feel good” for stress relief!
It is always nice to have a pop of color here and there in your home or office but when you add real flowers it just brings the room alive. Even green plants will do the same and add more oxygen to the air as well as act like a filter for some air pollutants
If you have pet you should look into what plants and flowers are harmful but once you have that figured out , you are good to go. If you go with green plants you can add fairies or silk flowers to add that pop of color and keep it for the life of your plants!!

Carnations are one of those . if cut daily and placed in a cool filtered light area in your home they will last a long time for your pleasure. They are several other flowers that will last long as well, your local florist can tell you what they are and how to take care of your flowers to get the most time out of them. There are all kinds of plants that will last for years to come , inside or outside.
When you are choosing your flowers, you should choose by the likes of the recipient and not yourself. What is their favorite color? do they like light or bright colors, more greens or less, one color or many colors….. It will make them all that much more special when they receive them. The excitement will be felt more. some times it is not the flowers but what you write on the card. Choose your words that are going to clearly state what you want them to know, do not worry about sounding silly…say it with the flowers as well. A few carefully chosen words can mean a lot to some one.
